Halloween

The three older kids picked out their costumes. They LOVE looking through the various magazines for their costumes. We went with a cute and cuddly theme for the younger two.
Since you can't really see this little guy I took these and Daddy joined him for fun.

Sore Foot

I got a call from the school nurse saying Hyrum was hurt. A kid knocked over some kind of cubby thing and it fell on Hyrum's foot. His foot was a little swollen and sore so he got to come home. At first I think he thought it would be GREAT to be home but he quickly learned that staying home is not at all what it is cracked up to be.

On my way to the kitchen I saw him like this and just had to take a picture. He is waiting for his sisters to come home and little does he know he still has a LONG time to wait! If you look closely you can see he only has one shoe on his feet. It took a few days for him to walk normally after it got hurt.
These two picutres are just for fun and because I like them.

My Loving Mother

My mom came to help with the new baby. Originally she was coming so Don wouldn't have to take off so many days from work. It certainly didn't work that way! Don decided to take off those days for a break for him also! LOL!

It was so nice to have her come and help. Leslie really enjoyed having her here. She got to go on long walks with grandma and she got lots of individual attention from her. This helped me be able to rest and not worry about anything. I didn't have to think about getting kids up, breakfast, entertainment for Leslie, lunch, school work, kids chores, dinner, and cleanup. Man listing those things makes me wish she could come back!

But because of her I got to focus on just this little guy and myself. Which was very nice.My mom doesn't want to smile big because she is worried about wrinkles.
But those wrinkles are symbols of time spend bettering oneself in love and service to others. And I think she looks beautiful with her real smile anyway!

Pictures that didn't make the Cut

I always have the hardest time narrowing down the photos I take to just a couple. What can I say?! I love my children and they always look beautiful to me.

These photos didn't make it on the card but I love them anyway.

Birth Announcement

He was a really hard baby to take these pictures of. He was not the typical easy to manipulate newborn. He was stiff and didn't like to be moved. But the end result was so worth the pain of it.

Daddy and Michael

We finally were cleared to leave the hospital but I got to get in a couple of pictures of Don with Michael.

Our Jaundice boy!

Because he was one day too early to be 38 weeks he had to be put under the lights. This was the first time any of our kids have had to do this. It was so sad! You could only take him out to feed and change his diaper. He did REALLY well. I on the other hand had a hard time with it. Not only could I not do anything with him but I was all alone in the hospital by myself with NOTHING to do. I was bored out of my mind.
