It Was A BIG Day!

I guess I should call it a long day. The night before Don left to go with his brothers to another state for a football game. I didn't get the kids to bed till 10. I paid in cold hard misery the next day for that. I signed us up for the 5 mile walk for Healthy Hearts. All the kids whined and cried and the walk was forever long. But I really enjoyed the time BETWEEN the crying to be with Daniel and Janet. Daniel helped out a lot with the kids. =) This is my new bike trailer that also transforms into a jogging stroller. I really love it.
Hyrum wanted to ride in another stroller. Janet's brother was kind enough to let him. Jaxon looked so cute! Janet had did his hair differently and he just was adorable.

After the walk they had a lot of fun stuff to sample and do. The kids loved to play in the fountain and ride the ponies.
There are not pictures of Elena because she was not happy for pretty much the whole time at the walk and then she went to a birthday party for Brock. Because just Elena went to Brock's party I took the kids and picked up Ariana to get ice cream. This helped Adelyn feel better and it was good. I haven't had a ice cream cone in a long time.

I love the really ugly pictures of my kids almost as much as the good ones!
Doesn't she look so cute! I think she got the award in the end for being the messiest.
Ariana decided to get a big nice ice cream cone. But it turns out the flavor she picked was sugar free and gross. If you have ever tried sugar free ice cream you know how you have to be very picky about the brand.

Here was the solution to the bad ice cream cone. Too bad it is not as big!
And lastly here is my new bike. I have really enjoyed going on rides with the kids.

House Pictures #2

It is starting to take shape! That is the good news. The bad news (kind of) they ran out of the brick! The superintendent told us that the "big guys with ties" wanted the house to be done at the end of November. He knows we have it in our contract to close in January. So to drag this story on and on, it is not a big deal they ran out of brick. They can take their time and hopefully do a good job. Our inspector was VERY impressed with the workmanship. That gave me a tingling in my tummy.

This is Don's favorite room. The media room is going to be his domain. Let's just call it a hunch. I believe the study and the media room are definitely taken.

I am in the car too much with Hyrum and Adelyn. This is just the typical scenario (notice no shoes). He always takes them off in the car. This just adds more time to get somewhere. I need to buy him strapped shoes and not tie ones. AAAAH! But he is cute!

First Halloween Pics

The first holiday season pictures. :) We went to the "Haunted Homestead". It was way too cute. Just perfect for all the little kids. They had a great time. I even think all the adults enjoyed themselves. Daniel, Janet, Allan, and Ariana all went into a "For Older Kids" spooky house. I am sure it was a scare. ;) This first picture is of Don and Allan walking with some of the kids to the hayride. A hayride takes you to the trail. At the trail the kids get candy every little bit. Then on to the haunted homestead where the fun is just dying to meet you (I just had to throw that in there).

Poor Don! In big groups, someone always gets the "looking dumb award" and Don definitely got it in this one.

This guy was kind enough to show the kids that it is all pretend. "It is just people with masks." I think I repeated that about twenty times for the kids.

This one was on the hayride back to the cars and Hyrum did NOT want me to take any more pictures. That is just my favorite expression. My heart just melts thinking about the sound that went with it.

Park Again

Courtney called and invited us to the park. I really had to pause and think about it. Hyrum decided to have a bad day! But thankfully I ended up going later (after naptime) and it turned out to be great.

Doesn't this look familiar? He is pretending to be a lion. I guess it was bound to happen. Kids really do look up to their siblings.

This was the winner for the day. They absolutely loved the tire swing. I absolutely love that it was Courtney pushing them. :) When I go the park I feel like it is a break for me too. Too much pushing interferes with my sitting on my rear time.

Renaissance Festival

I have been wanting to go to this festival since I married Don. I just have never done it and did not want to go alone. Ariana got the tickets and invited us to go with her and Allan. Allan ended up having to work. And then the day of Ariana calls in sick. :( But my wonderful husband heard all this and decided to make time and go with me. Yea! It turned out to be perfect weather and the kid's loved it. We are waiting for the jousting to start. We were told to cheer for England.
I loved seeing Adelyn cheering. She is the one to the left of the picture with the pink sweater with flowers.
I put Hyrum next to this statue to take a picture and he just couldn't stop staring at it. He just didn't know what to think of it. It took him a little bit of time to get close enough for the picture.

This is just a random picture. My kids love these carts.

Pumkin Patch

We had a good day at the pumpkin patch. We were hoping it had even more then it did, but how many times does that happen. You pay money to go somewhere and it's not as good as you thought it was going to be.:( Can't the world be perfect! I demand justice. Where is Don with his MAD video gaming skills when you need him to save the world from EVIL! That's my man!

It's a first! Finally, one of my kids has actually touched a bird.
I think Ariana captured Adelyn's mood perfectly. I just love taking her to fun places, and then have her whine to me about food. Nothing is fun enough till she gets candy or pop. ;)Ah, she takes after me.

This zip line was alot of fun for all of us.
