I always have the hardest time narrowing down the photos I take to just a couple. What can I say?! I love my children and they always look beautiful to me.
These photos didn't make it on the card but I love them anyway.
He was a really hard baby to take these pictures of. He was not the typical easy to manipulate newborn. He was stiff and didn't like to be moved. But the end result was so worth the pain of it.
Because he was one day too early to be 38 weeks he had to be put under the lights. This was the first time any of our kids have had to do this. It was so sad! You could only take him out to feed and change his diaper. He did REALLY well. I on the other hand had a hard time with it. Not only could I not do anything with him but I was all alone in the hospital by myself with NOTHING to do. I was bored out of my mind.
I felt better then I had after all the other 4 births. He was so much smaller so hardly any tearing at all.It is funny that we saved the runt for last and biggest first!
This was the easiest birth EVER! I was having mild contractions starting Friday evening and they continued Saturday but never really came close enough together. But by Saturday night I knew by the pain that it was time. We called Joe and Drew and they were kind enough to take care of all our other kids while we went to the hospital. At the hospital they observed us for a hour to make sure we were in labor and then put us in a room. I could also tell it was going to take a while to dilate to a 10 so I decided that I was going to get an epidural right away. This turned out well for me. I couldnt' feel a thing! I didn't even feel pressure. It was GREAT! Once the doctor broke my water I went from a 7.5 to a 10 and the baby coming by himself in 1/2 hour. When it came time for the big event the Doctor told me that I didn't even have to push!! Michael came by himself with a little help from the doctor at 2am on Sunday. Don was the first person Michael saw when he opened his eyes.
Before the main event.WELCOME MICHAEL! I am not usually a fan of male OBGYN's but he was great.
I got to take some pictures of Drew for her book. I am glad I got to do this for her. It definitely felt weird though. I am just too used to kids and this was TOTALLY different. She is so beautiful on the inside and out!!
I am from St. Anthony Idaho and I loved growing up there. I had a great childhood. I had the best of friends and the community was a wonderful LDS filled area. I couldn't have asked for more. Now I am in Houston with a great husband and 3 kids who fill my life with love.
